Replied by admin on topic Optical Express Reviews

For more than a year - until October 2014 - Google searches for “Optical Express” listed “OERML” on the 1st page, immediately under the Optical Express paid ads.

This meant that thousands of people considering surgery at OE read the truth on OERML and changed their mind - many already booked in for surgery who then asked for their money to be refunded!

NB: If OE salepersons aka ‘counsellors/refractive technicians’ have not advised a potential customer of the numbers of patients left with irreparable problems post op, or mentioned OERML, or told them them that their intended operating surgeon is in litigation with patients they’ve damaged (the majority are), then they - indisputably - have not been 'fully informed’.

Understandably, David Moulsdale was very angry as his company was losing millions of pounds as a result.

He was desperate to silence me after spectacularly failing to do so in his very costly attempts to have OERML taken down via complaints to Nominet Dispute Resolution Service - see www.theregister.co.uk/Tag/sasha%20rodoy

So he made a complaint to Google, apparently claiming that I had used unfair methods to get OERML on to the 1st page, which was of course a lie, as OERML had done so organically, entirely due to the traffic visiting its pages.

Unfortunately - like everyone else complicit in this scandal - it's all about money, and Google listen to the advertisers who feed them, and they removed OERML from their rankings.

Thanks to a journalist who contacted Google and questioned their reasons for doing so, OERML was reinstated.

However, thanks to more of his dirty tactics, and a clever IT team, OERML no longer climbs higher than 5th page in Optical Express Google searches.

Sadly therefore, too many people only find us after the damage has been done!

Also in 2014, attempting to divert attention away from OERML, “Optical Express Changed My Life" website suddenly appeared - with hundreds of reviews and photos posted overnight (that they've included photos of children is somewhat worrying) opticalexpresschangedmylife.co.uk

But I can play as dirty as David - Ok, perhaps not quite so dirty

Where should I start?

I have met some of OE's damaged patients and they add up to far more than a “tiny minority”! But let's talk about me.

David Moulsdale - I have never been financially motivated (although I have quite rightly asked for a refund) and to say that people who now have to live with damaged eyesight are "financially motivated" shows the true arrogance of you and your company.

I have repeatedly asked to meet with someone and repeatedly been refused, plus last year I went to Harley St for an examination by your own surgeon Manek Patel who told me that my eyes were NOT GOOD! I was never given the results of that examination and when I emailed Stephen Hannan to ask for them - to add insult to injury - I was told that Optical Express (despite them asking me to attend) wanted £50 to hand them over.

I think that Stephen Hannan actually gets some kind of perverse pleasure trying to annoy patients who have suffered at the hands of your butchers.

I still want a refund and I still want to meet with someone to explain what went wrong and why OE thought it right to butcher my eyes when an eminent independent surgeon told me it was the wrong operation for me.

What a disgustingly unethical way to carry on! And the Royal College of Ophthalmologists are fine being associated with that?!
Perhaps OE should save the big TVs to give to victims who are now unable to see the telly properly thanks to their surgery!

If you value your eyesight then steer well clear of OE, please take the time to read the many horror stories here from people (inc myself) that have been permanently damaged through eye surgery at OE.

Are you saying that a person should not have laser eye surgery or that if someone does choose to have it they shouldn't use OE? My husband had his consultation today and we have an appointment booked for 11th March. I'm now very concerned by your website. We were told 99.6% effective and did not see any video regarding the risks etc. Where can we turn to for reliable advice!?

Not very much festive cheer from the Scottish idiot is there!

I see a name I recognise in there too, Dasi Raju, the bitch optom that I hold partially responsible for my horrid eyesight, the one that lied through here teeth just to get me to sign up, I was a perfect candidate she said, I did not have large pupils when I asked her directly, all lies as I am certainly not the perfect candidate and my pupils are huge!

I would never hit a women but if I ever saw her again I could very well make an exception!

David Moulsdale's motivational 2014 New year's day email to his troops...

Of course 2014 was far from successful as the the latest accounts filed for DCM (Optical Holdings) prove, but I do have to admire David's eternal optimism - quote in The Herald yesterday:

To continue...

That's something I didn't know!

Is that legal?

And to answer David's obvious question - my lips are sealed

I’ve used this evocative image as an excuse to post a tribute to David Bowie - not that I need one...

I first saw Bowie live at The Roundhouse (Implosion) on Sunday 5 July 1970, and was privileged to meet him in person on two subsequent occasions many years later!

David Bowie was a real Star(man) and true legend

admin wrote: I checked Russell’s itemised costs budget and it appears that Qaiser’s hourly rate is £300 (incl VAT), therefore 1 Unit equals £30, his fee to read a one line email from me. (I will email Qaiser later to check this)

Earlier today I receiving this email from Qaiser:

I called Qaiser to clarify, because this was sent to Russell soon after he dropped his counterclaim and agreed to settle my claim last November. However, as a Litigant in Person (LiP) I was unaware that a copy should also have been included in my Notice of Commencement.

After discussing this with Qaiser I mentioned that my Facebook followers were waiting for me to post confirmation that Russell is being billed @ 6 mins/1 unit per email, cost £30...

Qaiser replied, “Yes, as standard”.

So after emailing my Bill of Costs I waited 44 mins and sent a second email asking Qaiser to confirm receipt of first, but it’s now 1hr 18mins later and still no reply!

Time to send a third email...

By my estimate - not including Qaiser's eventual response(s) to me - I’ll have added another £90 to Russell’s legal bill.
